The Môm’Art (Kids’ art) on Wednesdays and Saturdays !

The MAMAC workshop is a space dedicated to the discovery of contemporary forms of art through playful activities, manual work, plastic creations and games. The two-part outing allows young people to discover the works in the museum and to learn about the practices and approaches of the artists in the workshop space.

In the heart of our workshop, we welcome your child for a creative moment while discovering the works of the museum and the techniques used by the artists!

All activities are conditional on a minimum of 2 participants.

The Môm’art with our pedagogical boxes

The Môm’art with our pedagogical boxes, every 1st Wednesday of the month at 11.00 am. Created by the artist Eve Pietruschi, the two museum boxes are available to all on request. They are dedicated to the museum’s permanent collection. They offer an alternative way of discovering the artists’ creative techniques working hand-on-hand.

By reservation only
Age range: 5 to 11 years old. Maximum 12 participants.
Rates: Free for children under 13 years old. 6€ + Admission fee for accompanying persons.
Duration: 1h30.

The Môm’art Teens of Wedsnedays

From 15.00 to 16.30, Login to the museum!

For these workshops, the focus is put on the use of digital technology, moving images (comics, photomontage, video capture), performance and projection.

On reservation only
Age range: 12 to 18 years old. Maximum 12 participants. The parent’s presence is not required
Rates: 8€ by participant.
Duration: 1h30.

The Môm’art in family on Saturdays

From 11.00 to 12.30

MAMAC organizes workshops dedicated to the child/parent relationship, to create a privileged and creative family moment at the museum.

On reservation only
Age range: 12 to 18 years old. Maximum 12 participants. The parent’s presence is recommended but not mandatory

Duration: 1h30.


Having fun at the museum for holidays

The museum is lively and proposes you many and varied activities to discover and rediscover art while having fun! The activities are designed for all ages and are reinvented on every holiday period!

All activities are conditional on a minimum of 2 participants.

The summer events

Over the period of July/August

Discover the temporary exhibitions and the permanent collection guided by our Museum Educators for constantly renewed original visits accessible to young and old, with family, friends or alone!

  • Guided summer tours of the temporary exhibitions everyday at 15.00 in French and 16.00 in English from Tuesday to Saturday.
  • Family circuits everyday at 10.30 from Tuesday to Saturday. With tools specially created for our temporary exhibitions, experience our summer exhibition with your family!

No reservations required
Age range: from 5 years old.
Rates: Free for children under 13 years old. 6€ + 6€ + Admission fee for accompanying persons. Children must be accompanied.
Duration: 1h.

The Môm’art trainings for holidays

Specific appointments at each school holiday period! Let your child experience a creative moment while discovering the museum’s works. Drawing, video, photo, collage cutting, charcoal, all techniques are allowed!

Age range: 6 to 11 years old and 12 to 18 years old. Maximum 12 participants. The parent’s presence is not required
Rates: 8€ by participant.
Duration: 45mn.

Workshops

MAMAC invites artists to introduce their practice to children and teenagers during dedicated workshops which take place within the framework of temporary exhibitions, collaborations or specific events.

Associations, Rec centres

MAMAC is a space devoted to the discovery of contemporary forms of art through playful, manual activities, plastic creations and games.

Borrow our pedagogical cases to discover the museum in a different way! On request only and subject to acceptance according to the educational project of the group.

Guided tour and workshops

Visits and workshops are accessible to rec centres and youth associations during all school holidays. The two-part outing allows children and young people to meet the works in the museum and to learn about the practices and approaches of the artists in the workshop space. The organizer or accompanying person can also adapt his or her educational project with the educator!

Informations

  • The entrance to the museum is located at the level of Klein Square, next to the entrance to the Louis Nucéra Library.
  • The Bus has a drop-off point located between MAMAC and Garibaldi Square on Risso Boulevard. The BUS cannot stay parked at this location.
  • Note for accompanying persons: The accompanying person benefits from free admission to the museum at the rate of 1 accompanying person for the supervision of 8 participants. Beyond this number, the accompanying person must pay the museum entrance fee of €10 (except for free admission for individuals or accompanying persons).
  • It is imperative that you present yourself at the museum reception desk at the appointed time by presenting your reservation email. Coming early or late slows down the filtering of groups and causes delays for everyone. If you are late, call 04.97.13.42.01 (museum ticket office).
  • If the number of students or accompanying persons has changed since your booking, please inform the education team in advance.
  • Kids or teenagers must remain under the supervision of the adults accompanying them.
  • Please limit the number of bags to facilitate the filtering process and storage at the museum entrance. Only small bags can be kept on you. Backpacks should be left at the museum’s left-luggage office. This deposit is free of charge.
  • The group can only enter and leave once during the day.

Reservations

We ask you from the first email contact to send us the following document fully completed so that we can best evaluate your request. Upon receipt of this form, the éducation team will contact you to discuss your project and discuss the terms and conditions.

For the associations and rec centres of the Nice Côte d’Azur metropole: It’s free !
For the associations and rec centres outside the Nice Côte d’Azur metropole: it is 20 euros the session.

Duration: 1h to 1h30.
