Visit the museum at your own pace
Come and wander around our exhibitions. Discover the collections and the museum’s shop, and conclude your tour by the terraces where you will get an amazing view on the city of Nice and the Baie des Anges in a single glance.
Self-guided visits are possible from Tuesday to Sunday.
Coming in group for a self-guided visit
It is mandatory for groups (associations, centres, schools – from 10 people upwards) to book their visit, even for self-guided visits (without a museum guide), in order to avoid standing in a queue at the entrance to the museum. The museum may refuse admission to a group that has not made a reservation.
To book your visit, you must send us the following registration form from the first contact.
The museum’s entrance is located on place Klein, next to the entrance to the Louis Nucéra library.
Buses have a drop-off point located between MAMAC and Place Garibaldi, on Boulevard Risso. Buses cannot stay parked at this spot.
Beyond this number, the accompanying person must pay the museum entrance fee of 10€ (except for free admission for individuals or accompanying persons).
It is mandatory to present yourself at the museum reception desk at the reserved time by presenting your reservation email. Coming early or late slows down the filtering of groups and causes delays for everyone. If you are late, call 00 33 (0)22.214.171.124.01 (museum ticket office).
If the number of students or accompanying persons has changed since your booking, please inform the education team in advance.
Pupils must remain under the surveillance of the accompanying adults.
Please restrict the number of bags to ease the filtering process and storage at the entrance of the museum. Only small bags and pouches can be kept on you. Backpacks should be left at the museum’s cloakroom. This cloakroom is free of charge.
The group can only go in and out once during the day.
Note for accompanying persons: The accompanying person benefits from free admission to the museum at the rate of 1 accompanying person for the supervising of 8 participants.
Rates: Self-guided visits are free of charge for school groups, from associations, rec centres or reception centers. Otherwise, the rate of 8,50€ per person for a 24h ticket will be applied (from 10 people).
