The entrance to MAMAC is located on place Yves Klein, Nice
For security reasons, in case of rain or bad weather the terraces are closed to the public


Access

The whole museum (except from the terraces) is accessible to people with reduced mobility : lift available on the street level, located next to the Promenade des Arts car Park.

Nice Museum Pass

Access to all municipal museums for 72 hours at the rate of 15 € per person ; groups :
10 € per person, from 10 people

One entrance by museum : MAMAC, Charles Nègre Museum of Photography, Matisse Museum, Jules Chéret Museum of Fine Arts, Anatole Jakovsky Naive Art Museum, Massena Museum, Palais Lascaris, Nice/Cimiez Archeology Museum, Museum of Prehistory of Terra Amata, Museum of Natural History, Prieuré du Vieux-Logis.


Exoneration

Exemption holders must go to the ticket office of each museum with valid proof:

• Children under the age of 18
• Students
• Unemployed persons
• Large disabled civilians – GIC and Large disabled war – GIG as well as one companion per person
• Museum curators
• Journalists
• Teachers
• Tourist guides


Nice Pass Museums

For the residents of Nice and the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Area

This Pass is offered to all residents of Nice and residents of all municipalities in the Nice Côte d´Azur Metropolitan Area. It gives free access to all municipal museums. To obtain this Pass, just go to the reception of a museum by presenting the following documents:

• A valid identity document (national identity card or passport)
• Proof of address less than 3 months old
• Metropolitan children and young people under the age of 18 are admitted free of charge to museums without having to prove a Pass Card, a free ticket will be issued to them at the museum reception
The Nice Pass Museums is valid for 3 years from its creation

The museum is always on the move: loans of works to other institutions, new hangings, installation of temporary exhibitions. Your museum experience will always be new. Consult the program before your visit

Covid-19 information

The City of Nice and MAMAC have made every possible effort to adapt the measures recommended by the health authorities and thus reinforce your safety and ours, to preserve the health of all.

In accordance with the standards defined by the health authorities, the barrier gestures, which are now part of our daily life , are reinforced by additional safety measures that we invite you to respect for your safety and ours. Let’s take care of ourselves. Let’s be responsible.

  • The number of people in the museum is regulated
  • Wearing a mask (not provided by the museum) is mandatory for our teams and for visitors from 11 years old (from 6 years old during school trips)
  • A physical distance of at least one metre from other visitors and from our teams must be respected
  • Hydroalcoholic gel is available at the entrance of the museum
  • Plexiglass physical barriers on the reception desks are in place
  • The cleaning to disinfect our equipment such as handles, reception desks, physical barriers, sanitary facilities, is reinforced
  • Circulation in the exhibition spaces is one-way
  • The lift is limited to the use of people with reduced mobility and strollers. Access limited to 1 person + 1 accompanying person if needed
  • A distance of 3 steps in escalators and stairs must be applied
  • The barrier gestures are highlighted by a dedicated signalling system
  • For the purchase of your entrance ticket, contactless payment is to be preferred as well as online payment
  • Holders of the Pass Musées de Nice card for people from Nice and metropolitan France are invited to take their pass with them
  • The shop is open, payments by cards is preferred
  • Caution, lockers and cloakrooms are closed, no bags or clothes are allowed; access to the museum areas is not allowed to people carrying backpacks and/or helmets
  • Our teams are trained to welcome you in the best possible conditions

COVID-19 Health Certificate

From July 21, 2021, the Health Certificate is extended to to all places of leisure and culture bringing together more than 50 people. In accordance with government directives and the museums of the city, access to the museum for all adults will be only be made on presentation of a Health Pass in the form of a QR Code in paper format or downloaded in the TousAntiCovid application https://bonjour.tousanticovid.gouv.fr/ :

  • Vaccination certificate   
  • Or RT-PCR or negative antigen test certificate less than 48 hours
  • Or RT-PCR or positive antigen test certificate of at least 11 days and less than 6 months

AND a valid official identity document: identity card, passport, driver’s license or any other official document, with the photo of the person concerned.

The compliance of the Health Pass will be checked at the entrance to the museum according to the health rules in force, a check that may slightly increase access time. This check does not read your health information or store data.

Children under 12 are not covered by the Health Pass.
12-17 year olds remain exempt from the Health Pass until September 30, 2021.

Guided tour for individuals every Saturday at 11 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. in French and at 4 p.m. in English.
Single price of 6,10€ per visit – free for children under 13

Group

Guided tour for groups by reservation, Tuesday to Friday
Price 83,50€ per group (from 10 to 30 people)


School groups part of Métropole Nice Côte d´Azurn : free
(primary, secondary and University during school hours and for childcare facilities off school time)
School groups not part of Métropole Nice Côte d´Azur : 20,50€
