The audiovisual department

This department is developing several activities, not only photography :

The Production

The department has an analogical shooting unit Beta SP. There are two main orientations :

*Producing documentaries on and with the artists from the collections or with the exhibitor artists. There are about 40 documentaries of different lasting (from 3 minutes to 36 minutes), which are explaining the exhibitions, proposing monographs, reports in work-studios with Arman, Ben, César, Jean-Claude Farhi, Jesus Rafael Soto, Bernard Dejonghe, Bruno Mendonça, Giovanni Anselmo, Gilberto Zorio, Mark di Suvero, Georges Rousse, Lyonel Kouro, Howard Ben-Tré, Costa Varotsos, Max Charvolen, Armand Sholtès, Gilbert Pedinielli and many others.

*Proposing coproductions and participating at the shooting or inviting video artists to create their works. The department has participated in this way at the creations of artists like Dominique Angel, Antoni Muntadas, Nil Yalter, Jean-Claude Ruggirello, Eric Andreatta, N+N Corsino, Philippe Perrin, Michou Strauch.

The broadcasting

The department is regularly presenting documentaries about art and video-art in the auditorium of the museum ; it is also presenting evening performances. In the same time it had proposed different video installations of Studio Azzurro, Marianne Strapatsakis, Dalibor Martinis, Luc Courchesne, Joan Logue, N+N Corsino and many young artists.
